Going to College

Going to College

Recently, I have decided to go back to school. I have decided to go back to school so I can have a career that will be able to support me. As I was applying for college, I realized a few things that can help others. Here they are:

First, get the support of your family and friends. The more support you have, (trust me on this) the easier schooling will be. They will be willing to help you with anything you need; help filling out the applications, writing an entrance essay, studying for the placement test, etc.

Second, I suggest you call the school(s) and ask them the deadline for applications for the quarter that you want to start and immediately start the application, regardless of the deadline. The sooner you get your application in, you will have more time to get everything you need done; entrance essays, placement tests, anything the school requires. The same goes for the “Free Application for Federal Student Aid” or FASFA for short.

Lastly, Apply for as many grants and scholarships that you can. Here are a couple of links to sites where you can see grants and scholarships you may qualify for. Some of them are a little odd…

The less you have to pay at the end of your schooling, the better.

In the next post I will be writing about a few experiences people have had with college.
